About this Role

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of material management supporting construction, installation, and engineering activities across EPC and infrastructure projects. This roleis responsible forensuring materials areproperly planned, controlled, received, stored, tracked, and distributed to support project schedules and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in warehouse operations,laydown ofyard management,logisticscoordination, procurement support, and inventory control within construction, industrial, or EPC environments. This position requires strong organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with procurement, engineering, project management, vendors, and field operations teams.

What You9ll Do
  • Develop, implement, and manage material management practices, procedures, and resources in coordination with clients and project teams
  • Maintain material control systems to ensureaccuratetracking, receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and distribution of materials and equipment
  • Identifymaterial control issues and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities
  • Expedite material deliveries as needed to support project schedules and construction activities
  • Coordinate directly with vendors and suppliers to obtain expedited materials and resolve delivery or availability issues
  • Work closely with procurement teams to ensure project materials align with construction schedules, delivery timelines, and project milestones
  • Perform material take-offs and collaborate with engineering, project management, construction, and customers todetermineproject material requirements
  • Manage lead times and material availability byidentifyingrequired construction need dates, procurement timelines, and material decision milestones for integration into project schedules
  • Oversee vendor shipments andlogisticsactivities to ensuretimelyandaccuratedelivery of construction materials to project sites
  • Continuouslymonitorand manage changes to material requirements to ensure requisitions, revisions, and procurement updates are addressed efficiently
  • Prepare Materials Management Execution Plans asrequiredfor project operations
  • Collaborate with site teams to ensure materials are delivered in the correct quantities and within required schedules
  • Support site material management personnel inestablishingefficient warehouse and laydown yard layoutsutilizingindustry best practices for safety, storage optimization, and streamlined operations
  • Ensure inventory is handled and stored safelyin accordance withengineering specifications, manufacturer recommendations, and company procedures
  • Coordinate and oversee receiving activities, inventory inspections, QA/QC checks, and discrepancy resolution including shortages, overages, and damaged goods
  • Resolve material-related questions and issues by coordinating directly with project managers, engineering teams, suppliers, fabricators, construction management, and project controls teams
  • Plan, manage, and execute phase bundling, material staging, and kitting strategies to improve construction efficiency and material readiness
  • Coordinate and perform on-site material audits tomaintaininventory accuracy and accountability
  • Manage project material data and inventory transactions within inventory management systems to ensureaccuratereal-time reporting
  • Coordinate material offloading, storage, and issuance activities in collaboration with site material management personnel
  • Perform project closeout activities related to materials, purchase orders, inventory reconciliation, and disposition of excess materials
  • Serve as the primary liaison between project management, customers, suppliers, procurement teams, and construction managementregardingmaterial-related matters
  • Performadditionalduties as assigned while adhering to company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Employee maybe requiredto visit job sites, field offices, and customer locations

Required Experience & Education

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in materials management, warehouse operations, laydown yard management, or inventory control within construction, industrial, or infrastructure environments
  • Thorough knowledge of material management best practices related to receiving, inspection, storage, inventory control, material issuance, andlogisticscoordination
  • Strongproficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook

Preferred Experience & Education

  • Bachelor9s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Minimum 7 years of experience supporting EPC or large-scale industrial infrastructure projects preferred
  • Experience with material control systems and inventory management software preferred
