Spectra Tech has an immediate need for a Materials Manager- Nuclear Development in Richland, WA.

Job Description:

The Engineering Materials Manager will support the Nuclear Development project by coordinating and performing materials management activities. This position will help ensure that materials, equipment, specifications, documentation, and vendor-related activities are effectively planned, reviewed, and aligned with project requirements reporting to the Nuclear Development Engineering Manager.

Principal Accountabilities:

Lead specification review meetings and coordinate the resolution of technical requirements.

Chair weekly DOR meetings across all three companies, including discussions regarding purchasing responsibilities and ownership.

Coordinate with estimating and other stakeholders on related DOR activities.

Develop and maintain a combined documentation to support consistent planning, tracking, and communication.

Lead material take-off meetings and reviews to confirm material requirements and procurement priorities.

Review forms and documentation for safety-related work to ensure that procurement activities support applicable safety requirements.

Review procurement specifications for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.

Lead vendor selection and product decisions for major equipment and materials, such as turbines.

Conduct vendor and product quality reviews and coordinate follow-up actions where required.

Facilitate communication among engineering, estimating, purchasing, vendors, and project stakeholders to support timely procurement decisions.

Coordinate multiple vendors.

Required Education and Experience:

Five years of experience

Desired Education and Experience:

Experience with a quality assurance program such as NQA-1, ISO 9001, and/or ASME.

Bachelor degree from an accredited College or university.
