Job Description

Position Requirements:
• Develops and implements supply chain plans that affect the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products to enhance product flow.

• Responsible for timely delivery of all production supplies with direct responsibilities for resin procurement, forecasting, and railroad supporting activities.
• Collaborates with production and asset care and other departments to develop plant scheduling to optimize schedule compliance and on-time, in-full delivery
• Ensures inventory accuracy through cycle counting and physical inventory.
• Manages Warehouse Operations at the plant - scheduling, material handling, shipping and receiving
• Monitors material usage and develop plans to improve production variances with operations
• Liaisons with procurement, operations and IBP on MRP process.
• Supports the monthly S&O process.
• Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, procedures and training to ensure quality and cost control.
• Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates.
• Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports.
• Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external customers.
• Ensures adherence to all safety requirements and 6S. Fosters a safety culture. Conducts plant wide Gemba walks weekly to monitor 6S, safety, and food safety compliance
• Ensures compliance to quality and audit requirements
• Ensures compliance to OPX360 (continuous improvement system). Supply Chain Lead
• Engages employees and develops employees for next-level roles

Education/Experience:
• BA/BS degree in supply chain planning, business, operations management, logistics or engineering with 4+ years previous experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, manufacturing, procurement or distribution operations in a multi-facility environment.
• Effective communication skills, team building and demonstrated leadership skills at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills with sound judgement
• Strict attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills
• Typically has a particular area of specialty (replenishment, inventory control, logistics, etc.)
• Microsoft Office proficiency with advanced Excel skills required
• SAP and Blue Yonder proficiency preferred
• Ability to develop and deliver training.
• Ability to manage projects
