Our Ripley Tools business in Cromwell, CT is looking for a Materials Manager who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is energized by leading teams, improving systems, and driving measurable results.This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll own the end-to-end materials strategy, influence cross-functional decisions, and play a key role in enabling operational excellence and customer success.

A Day In The Life

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of planners and buyers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Serve as the primary owner of materials management strategy for Ripley Tools
  • Drive optimization across all materials functions, including:
    • Production planning & scheduling
    • Procurement & supplier performance
    • Inventory management & control
    • Warehousing and material flow
  • Champion and support SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) processes to ensure alignment across the business and seamless product delivery
  • Partner across functions-Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Finance, and Operations-to support strategic business goals
  • Identify gaps and implement data-driven countermeasures to improve underperforming processes and suppliers
  • Lead efforts to strengthen Lean Six Sigma initiatives, reducing waste and improving efficiency throughout the operation
  • Build and execute sourcing and planning strategies that simplify complexity and improve scalability
