Materials Leader
  • Estimated annual base pay: $105,000.00 (minimum) - $136,000.00 (midpoint) - $168,000.00 (maximum)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and align with the company's overall objectives.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality, reliability, and timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration through Councils: Lead a Materials Council with members from multiple teams. Collaborate with others across functions to ensure seamless supply chain integration and alignment.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement initiatives to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Team Leadership: In a flexible and cross trained teaming environment, take a leadership role in sitewide decision making. Coach structured problem solving, including root cause analysis and PDCA cycles.

  • Communication. Excellent communication skills are necessary to coordinate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and efficient information flow.

  • Negotiation. Effective negotiation skills are important for securing favorable terms with suppliers and partners, managing contracts, and ensuring cost effective procurement practices.
  • Technology Proficiency. Proficiency with supply chain management software and other relevant technologies is essential for optimizing processes, enhancing visibility, and driving automation within the supply chain.
  • Financial Acumen. A solid understanding of financial principles and budgeting is necessary to manage costs, analyze financial reports, and contribute to the financial health of the supply chain operations.
  • Risk Management. The ability to identify potential risks within the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate those risks is critical for maintaining continuity and resilience in supply chain operations.


Successful candidates typically have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering OR 10+ years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Must have prior supervisory experience.
