Job Summary:    

As a Material Requirements Planning Supervisor, you will lead a team that plays a critical role in ensuring materials are available to support manufacturing operations and meet customer demand. Working at the intersection of suppliers, logistics, procurement, and production, you will drive supply continuity, resolve complex material challenges, and help keep operations running efficiently. You will lead a team of logistics planning analysts and play an important role in developing talent, driving performance, and ensuring operational success through strong collaboration and decision-making. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at balancing competing priorities, and can confidently guide teams through changing business needs while delivering results.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of logistics planning analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure the timely availability of materials needed to support manufacturing operations.
  • Lead the resolution of material flow and supply chain challenges while balancing competing priorities and minimizing operational disruption.
  • Assess risks, prioritize competing business needs, and make timely decisions to support production and supply continuity.
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and supplier partners to identify issues, mitigate disruptions, and develop proactive solutions.
  • Lead through challenging situations by managing conflict, prioritizing competing business needs, and maintaining composure in a dynamic environment.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement process improvements that enhance supply chain efficiency and team effectiveness.
  • Support performance management activities, including coaching, employee development, and succession planning.

Education requirement:

Candidates should possess a Bachelors degree or demonstrate equivalent knowledge through professional expertise.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Applies knowledge of material planning, supplier collaboration, logistics, and manufacturing operations to support supply continuity.
  • Partners with suppliers and internal stakeholders to proactively identify and mitigate supply risks.
  • Utilizes supply chain metrics and operational data to drive process improvements and business results.

Additional Information:    

This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week at the Decatur, IL facility.

Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
