Position SummaryThe mission of Material Technology is to provide Samsung FAB's with the highest quality raw materials & analysis in the world. We do this by driving efforts in both management & development of our suppliers & materials used. You would be supporting Fab Operations by ensuring incoming material quality and interacting with material suppliers to follow procedures and satisfy SAS requirements.
Role and ResponsibilitiesHere's What You'll Be Responsible For:- Interaction and management of multiple material suppliers for quality, supply chain management, technical support, improvements, root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action implementation
- Develop, understand and document cradle to grave understanding of materials including their manufacturing processes and final use in FAB.
- Proactively identify and implement material quality improvements closely working with suppliers, counterparts in Korea, and SAS FAB engineering team.
- Drive material related FAB investigations; provide understanding of raw material manufacturing and its interaction with FAB processing.
- Management and leadership toward material issue resolution (SPC, data analysis, 8D development and corrective actions).
- Work with suppliers to identify & implement future improvements (roadmap) keep ahead of quality needs for 1x nodes and beyond.
- Qualifications of new materials and changes including supplier process change notifications, project planning, execution of qualification, data analysis.
Skills and QualificationsHere's what you'll need:- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or an equivalent discipline.
- >7 years of experience.
- Experience in fab manufacturing unit part (UP) process group, preferred Photolithograph.
- Previous experience with Photolithography materials preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of EUV Photolithography techniques and historical development.
- Experience with global supply chains and multi-site quality process standardization is a plus.
The current base salary range for this role is between $106,000 - $174,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
