Raytheon, within the Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) program, is seeking a Material Program Manager to provide supporting-level supply chain program integration for the CIWS program. This role focuses primarily on development and engineering-phase activities, including planning and coordinating material for prototypes, engineering builds, and test events supporting the Navy and Army customer.

This position works within a comprehensive supply chain program management structure and collaborates closely with various functions to ensure execution of material strategies, alignment with engineering, and readiness for key program milestones. The role is intended for a strong independent contributor who can drive daily execution while operating within established program direction.

In this role you will learn and further develop your knowledge of manufacturing, material requirements planning and business acumen within a matrixed organization. You will develop and execute a material program strategy/plan for a program or integrated product team.

You will have the opportunity to lead projects, budgeting and financial management for selected efforts

What You Will Do
  • Support execution of material strategies, plans, and processes for CIWS development and engineering activities.
  • Coordinate material for engineering builds, prototype hardware, test units, and integration events.
  • Partner with Engineering to manage BOM evolution, configuration changes, long-lead identification, and early requirements.
  • Engage suppliers to support development-phase efforts, including readiness, issue resolution, and risk mitigation.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate material status, highlighting risks and opportunities to program stakeholders.
  • Contribute to material budgets, EAC updates, and forecasting for development activities.
  • Assist with proposal inputs and planning for follow-on development and early transition-to-production efforts.
  • Work with buyers, planners, and commodity teams to resolve supply constraints impacting cost, schedule, or technical performance.
  • Ensure compliance with supply chain policies, program requirements, and applicable government regulations.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SSOWs)
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Production Control, and/or Procurement processes and requirements
  • Experience with Special Access Programs and Office 365
  • Experience in supporting complex product development efforts
  • Experience in a matrixed organizational structure
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management and EVM metrics, processes, and tools

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
