Full Job Description

Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

Prepares and maintains material commodity plans in support of the required inventory levels to successfully support operation construction, maintenance, and reliability programs across Eversource business. Performs demand planning, supply planning and replenishment analysis to meet material positioning requirements.

Essential Functions: 

  • Responsible for managing inventory made up of large volume of SKUs across multiple locations with complex lead time and supply channels
  • Responsible for maintaining optimal stocking levels to support business needs while limiting excess materials
  • Supports the development and implementation of detailed material commodity plans in support of operational business
  • Analyzes material demand, supply demand, and replenishment requirements for assigned commodities and across businesses
  • Provides material purchasing recommendations based upon commodity plans and analysis
  • Utilizes data for analysis in support of material decisions; develops reports, metrics, tracking tools and spreadsheets that support the success of the commodity work
  • Develops and maintains internal and external business partner relationships, to maintain support of business needs and problem resolution
  • Assists with communicating metrics, analytics and initiatives
  • Conducts ad hoc analysis and build reporting to identify opportunities and drive future decisions
  • Strong and persistent attention to detail with exceptional follow up skills required

Qualifications:

  • Understanding business, financial and inventory management principles, benchmarking and supply chain best practices and process improvement best practices
  • Ability to provide insight and recommendations on stocking strategy, stocking levels, replenishment cycle and reorder quantities
  • Proficient in the mining of data to enhance the material commodity plans and support decisions made
  • Understanding of supply chain concepts and processes to maximize material control, and to maintain a healthy inventory profile

Education:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Mathematics or related discipline or equivalent experience 
  • CPIM-Certified in Production Inventory Management certification, preferred                      

Experience:    

  • Three (3) plus years of related work experience as a Material/Inventory Planner required
  • Multi-SKU, high-volume SKU count preferred
  • Multi-location management preferred
  • Microsoft Office, Excel mandatory, Power BI experience preferred

$87,330.00-$97,030.00
