Full Job Description
Pilz is currently seeking a Marketing Manager based at our US headquarters in Canton, MI.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement the annual marketing plan collaborating with sales, marketing and management. Communicates and works closely with other Pilz subsidiaries internationally and Headquarter Marketing to ensure consistent brand messaging
  • Responsible for the marketing budget
  • Manages and develops marketing programs and materials such as advertising, literature, press releases, social media, and SEO/SEA
  • Manages lead generation, measures fulfillment and ROI on lead generation, and finds new ways to increase the quality of the leads generated
  • Develops and maintains effective media contacts, oversees company's public relations and may act as spokesperson if necessary
  • Leads trade show, road show, and customer event activities including development of booths and materials
  • Selects and manages marketing vendors, including printers, graphic artists, advertising agencies and the like
  • Organizes and conducts customer research to gain an understanding of customers and competitive dynamics
  • Disseminate industry application stories through market and competitor analyses.
  • Assists in the creation of success stories, white papers, YouTube videos, Podcasts, Webinars, and similar.
  • Updates and maintains the company's internet presence, including the websites and distributor portals
  • Supervise and execute Human Resources topics such as performance management, recommended disciplinary action, merit increases, etc. for Marketing team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Travel required up to10% both domestic and international

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Business Communication, Public Relations or similar program and six (6) to eight (8) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, and willing to learn specific company software (web site editing, CRM, etc.) as well as other web services
  • Experience developing and managing a departmental budget of $150,000 or larger
  • Exhibition/event management experience
  • Online marketing experience: experience in using Content Management Systems (CMS) and tracking tools (e.g. Google Analytics), experience in SEO and SEA, social media affinity, and marketing automation
  • Ability to travel for more than a week a few times a year for trade shows and meetings in the US as well as internationally
  • Ability to work in disbursed and/or virtual team environments
  • Self-motivated, well-organized and team oriented
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
  • Exceptional planning, organizational and time-management skills

Desired Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the automation industry a plus
