JOB SUMMARY

Johnson & Johnson MedTech Surgery is currently hiring for a Global Strategic Marketing Manager to lead global brand strategy for SURGIFLO™

The J&J MedTech Surgery franchise offers a broad range of products, platforms and technologies-including sutures, hemostasis products, surgical staplers, trocars, and synthetic mesh devices-that surgeons use in a wide variety of open and minimally invasive surgical procedures, and energy based surgical devices.

Join a highly engaged, motivated, and collaborative team to drive the ambition of the full J&J MedTech Biosurgery portfolio. The Marketing Manager - GSM Biosurgery, will be responsible for leading projects and end-to-end management, including development and execution of global brand strategy, lifecycle initiatives, and commercial acceleration for the SURGIFLO™ franchise.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 

1. Global Brand Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Partner with the Biosurgery leadership team to develop and execute global brand strategy.
  • Drive segmentation, positioning, pricing, claims, and product lifecycle management.
  • Support commercial leadership and overall brand performance. 
     

2. Regional Alignment & Execution

  • Partner with regional marketing teams to ensure flawless execution of global strategies.
  • Align global priorities with regional and local market needs. 

3. New Product Development & Launch Excellence

  • Lead commercialization planning for new products and line extensions.
  • Provide customer insights and Voice of Customer input into product development.
  • Build business cases, target product profiles, and launch strategies.
  • Drive launch excellence across functions. 
     

4. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Regional Marketing, and key customers.
  • Participate on project leadership teams and influence strategic decisions. 

5. Business Performance

  • Own financial targets and budget management.
  • Ensure achievement of business plans and growth objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with company and regional requirements. Product profile input, evidence strategy support, and launch excellence for new claims, line extensions, or platform enhancements.
  • Drive achievement of project milestones within budget and timeline expectations, while ensuring compliance with all applicable country and regional requirements, company regulations, policies, and procedures.

6.  VISTASEAL™/ VERASEAL™ portfolio support:

  • Potential to drive deliverables in VISTASEAL™/ VERASEAL™ portfolio dependent on business need
     

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 6-8 years of progressive business experience required.
  • 3 years of proven experience in Marketing or Sales required.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and the Medical Device industry required.
  • Experience with Marketing Excellence/Mastery, including Launch Excellence principles required.
  • Excellent cross-functional influencing skills and ability to develop customer relationships required.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS & AFFILIATIONS

  • An Advanced Degree (i.e., MBA, MS) preferred.
  • Previous regional in-line marketing and/or Global marketing experience preferred.
  • Experience in product development including needs assessment, portfolio management and product lifecycle management preferred.
  • Experience with supply chain, global brand management, influencing a Medical Device sales force and new product launch preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and using customer insight preferred.
  • Proven ability to work in a Global organization with multi-disciplinary collaborators preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$102,000.00 - $177,100.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
