Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and creative Marketing Manager to lead and execute our brand, marketing communications, and business development initiatives within the construction industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) sector and strong hands-on proficiency in Adobe InDesign to produce compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral. The ideal candidate brings a polished blend of creative ability, project management skills, and industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Brand Management
- Develop, implement, and manage the company's overall marketing strategy aligned with business development goals
- Maintain and evolve brand identity across all channels
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry news to inform strategy
Content Creation & Design
- Design and produce high-quality marketing materials including proposals, presentations, brochures, project sheets, and award submissions using Adobe InDesign
- Coordinate photography, video production, and other visual content for projects and company initiatives
- Write and edit compelling copy for a variety of audiences including clients, partners, and the public
Business Development Support
- Lead the pursuit process for RFPs, RFQs, and SOQs from kickoff through submission-including layout, writing, and coordination with project teams
- Partner with executive leadership and project managers to craft tailored win strategies
- Maintain a library of standard content, project profiles, and re9sume9s in current and accurate condition
Digital Presence & Communications
- Oversee website content updates, SEO strategies, and analytics reporting
- Manage social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
- Produce email campaigns, newsletters, and internal communications
Events & Industry Relations
- Plan and manage sponsorships, client events, and award submissions
- Represent the company at industry events and professional associations (AGC, ABC, SMPS, etc.)
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and community partners on co-marketing opportunities
Team & Project Management
- Supervise and mentor marketing assistant and graphic designer
- Manage marketing budget, vendor relationships, and project timelines
- Track and report on marketing KPIs and campaign effectiveness
Qualifications
Required
- 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with significant time in the construction, AEC, or related industry
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign; strong working knowledge of the full Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
- Demonstrated experience leading proposal/pursuit processes for commercial, industrial, or public-sector construction projects
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to translate technical content for general audiences
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Architecture, or a related field
Preferred
- CPSM (Certified Professional Services Marketer) or equivalent industry certification
- Familiarity with construction project delivery methods (GC, design-build, CM-at-risk, CMAR)
- Photography or videography skills a plus
