Full Job Description
SUMMARY
The position of Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives to support the growth, brand awareness and customer engagement efforts of the Bank. The position is responsible for directing the day-to-day marketing functions of Sauk Valley Bank, including expenses, budgets, advertising and promotions. The Marketing Director will lead marketing efforts ensuring alignment with the bank's mission, values and business objectives. In addition, the Marketing Director assures compliance with all SVB policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking/trust and investment regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Develop, implement and oversee comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the bank's objectives and enhance brand recognition.

In conjunction with Market Presidents, develop and manage the marketing budget to achieve the Bank's marketing goals and objectives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.

Conduct regular market analysis to identify customer needs, competitive trends and emerging opportunities. Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and measure effectiveness of campaigns.

Collaborate with product teams to develop market strategies for new products and services, ensuring effective promotion, customer education and support of goals.

Strengthen and maintain the bank's brand by ensuring consistent messaging, design and experience across all customer touchpoints.

Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative environment. Partner with cross-functional teams to execute marketing strategies effectively.

Conduct annual review of products and services to accurately recommend growth, harvest or exit.

Work with Compliance and Risk Management departments to review marketing content to ensure all marketing materials comply with banking regulations, advertising requirements and brand standards.
SECONDARY DUTIES
The position of Marketing Director performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
The position of Marketing Director is responsible for the supervision of the Marketing Assistant.

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

The environment for this position is an open office that is mostly clean and comfortable. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will.

The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 30 pounds), carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.

MENTAL DEMANDS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of a financial institution operations, sales or customer service background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
  • Utilize MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint with a high degree of proficiency
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Advanced experience, knowledge and training in bank terminology and products and services.
  • Ability to think strategic and execute tactically.
  • Strong knowledge of general office practices.
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with no supervision while performing duties.
  • Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

The incumbent must be able to perform this position safely, without endangering the health or safety to him/herself or others.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 annually depending on experience
