Job Description:

The Marketing Consultant is responsible for developing and executing marketing initiatives that support Caterpillar's Resource Industries Sales, Services & Technology (RISST) organization. This role partners closely with product, commercial and regional teams to bring customer-focused marketing strategies to life, helping drive awareness, engagement and business growth across Caterpillar's mining products, services and technology solutions.

The successful candidate combines strong marketing fundamentals with a passion for understanding customer needs, market trends and business priorities. They can translate complex technical concepts into compelling customer value, manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate across a diverse global organization to deliver impactful results.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing plans that support business objectives, product strategies and commercialization efforts.
  • Partner with product groups, commercial teams and subject matter experts to identify opportunities and create marketing programs that drive customer engagement and business growth.
  • Create compelling messaging and content that clearly communicates the value of Caterpillar products, services and technology solutions.
  • Support product launches, customer campaigns, dealer communications, events and strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate the development of marketing assets across digital, print, video and event channels.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to identify customer insights, emerging trends and opportunities for differentiation.
  • Monitor campaign performance and marketing effectiveness, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets and stakeholder expectations while ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and external agencies to deliver consistent, customer-focused marketing experiences.
  • Champion Caterpillar's brand while helping customers understand how our solutions improve safety, productivity and operational performance.

Promotion and Marketing Communications: Develop and execute integrated marketing communications across multiple channels while using data and performance metrics to optimize results and improve future initiatives.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience in marketing, communications, product marketing or related disciplines.
  • Experience supporting industrial, mining, technology or B2B businesses.
  • Experience developing integrated campaigns, customer-facing content and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, event marketing and marketing performance measurement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, global environment.


Additional Information:

The primary work location for this role is in Tucson, AZ OR, Peoria, IL with a requirement to work on-site full-time at a Caterpillar facility.

Up to 10-15% travel may be required.

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
