Job Description

In this position...

We are seeking a visionary and technically fluent Marketing Manager as a key leader for our communications and marketing team. You will be responsible to outline a brand strategy for Ford Energy and its products consistent with our overall company vision - considering customers, government, suppliers, parent company and our workforce. You will bring this strategy to life from parent company alignment to grass-roots execution and marcomms.

The ideal candidate has experience leading brand and marketing work in the energy industry, ideally in energy storage products, spanning a wide variety of stakeholders in a complex environment. The best candidate will thrive on translating technical specifications into compelling value propositions while navigating the unique landscape of a start-up-like, high-growth business unit within a larger corporation. This position will partner closely with the Ford Energy Sales team.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do...
• Brand strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive U.S. brand strategy to establish Ford Energy as the premier provider of BESS solutions - leveraging competitive advantages in technology, resiliency and scale.
• Technical product marketing: Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate technical specs (round-trip efficiency, degradation rates, thermal management, etc.) into high-impact marketing collateral and sales tools.
• Collaborators: Work closely with our technology and brand collaborators to align messaging, ensure brand consistency and leverage shared insights to capture market share.
• Marcomms: Engage channels and advocates to amplify brand and product awareness and purchase consideration - including advertising, social media and direct marketing.
• Associations and events: Position Ford Energy as a leader in the energy transition - and support our sales objectives - through strategic participation in industry associations and events.
• Marketing operations and performance: Establish baseline and target metrics (qualitative and quantitative) to ensure proper tracking of marketing objectives (awareness, engagement, conversion).
• Manage external agencies and vendors to bring creative ideas to life and scale marketing impact as the Ford Energy business grows.

Qualifications

You'll have...
• Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
• Industry expertise: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with complex industrials and/or high-tech products. Experience specifically in the battery energy storage system (BESS) or renewable energy space is preferred.
• Technical proficiency: Learning agility to quickly master BESS architecture, battery chemistry, inverter integration, and energy management software (EMS).
• Proven track record: Portfolio of marketing and brand work, preferably experience in scaling a startup or a new business unit within a larger corporation.

Even better, you'll have...
• Exceptional communication: Ability to distill complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, persuasive narratives for C-suite executives, technical buyers, and other audiences.
• Collaborative mindset: Demonstrated ability to integrate marketing and communications initiatives and work across organizational boundaries with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on shared commercial goals.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, engineering, or business. An MBA or a master's degree in an energy-related field is highly preferred.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
• Visionary strategic thinker able to navigate rapidly evolving global energy storage markets.
