Our team provides operational support across financial markets and treasury activities, ensuring the accurate execution, settlement, funding, and liquidity management of transactions that are critical to our business. We work closely with trading, treasury, finance, risk, and technology teams to manage operational risk, maintain strong controls, and deliver efficient outcomes across global markets. As part of a globally connected team, we partner with colleagues across multiple regions to support business activity and drive continuous improvement through process optimization and innovation. While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our advertised location.

What role will you play?

You will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of financial markets transactions across foreign exchange and interest rate products, ensuring trades are accurately validated, confirmed, funded, and settled. You will manage daily funding and liquidity activities, monitor cash positions, investigate exceptions, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain operational efficiency. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with teams across trading, treasury, finance, risk, and technology to ensure strong operational controls and timely execution of critical processes. You will also contribute to process improvement initiatives, leveraging data and automation to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and support the continued evolution of our treasury and market operations capabilities.

  • Experience in financial markets operations, treasury operations, foreign exchange products, including spot, forwards, interest rate derivatives and non-deliverable forwards, or a related function supporting traded products
  • Experience supporting funding, liquidity management, cash settlement, and reconciliation processes
  • Experience using market infrastructure and treasury platforms such as SWIFT, Calypso, Bloomberg, or similar systems
  • Strong understanding of operational risk, control frameworks, and exception management within a regulated environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across global teams and external counterparties
