Summary:This is a remote role within the state of Kansas. The Market Manager is the primary contact for all customer accounts in his/her territory, acting as a liaison between customers and the company. This position ensures quality and consistency of service and/or product delivery. The position maintains contact and develops strong relationships with current and prospective clients, generates sales proposals, and service and manages existing accounts.
What you'll be contributing: - Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Promotes and follows all aspects of safety guidelines and participates in meetings.
- Fosters strong relationships with customers and leads in developing customer loyalty and company brand reputation.
- Maintains a strong understanding of market volumes, trends, competitive activity, and key economic drivers for the assigned territory.
- Develops annual business plans for the territory and each account, including pricing objectives, technical support, distribution optimization, new products, and receivables management.
- Manages customer accounts, i.e., ensures 100% correct daily billing with emphasis on correct and complete entry of pricing, management of payment discrepancies, DSO, and rebates.
- Manages payment discrepancies and DSO problems to ensure customers are being billed correctly and paying correctly as per their agreed terms.
- Continues to work towards our vision of making the company the easiest and best supplier in the market to work with.
- Leads price negotiations with all customers and ensures that they are done in a mutually beneficial, satisfactory, and timely manner.
- Promotes the consumption of cement and related cementitious products, enhancing the company's brand reputation and awareness and preference for our products in the marketplace.
- Provides up-to-date sales forecasts monthly for each account as required via standard tools.
- Provides first-line technical input (testing, specification interpretation, troubleshooting) to customers and other stakeholders in assigned territory and engages other Technical Service support.
- Develops superior knowledge and understanding of each account, including objectives and strategies, key staff, operations, and financial performance.
- Provide value-added to our customers to strengthen loyalty and brand reputation.
- Utilizes all available data to monitor accounts' commercial margins and continually seek opportunities for improvements in the commercial margin.
- Represents the company by participating in industry associations
- Manage assigned expense and travel budgets.
- Follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
- Ensures alignment of OH&S activities arising from Companies OH&S mission.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
To succeed in this position, you will need: - 4 year degree in marketing, business, management, or related field is required
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in sales, operations, or technical service in the construction field or related roles.
- Proficient with computers, especially Microsoft software products
- Ability to drive committed and effective incident management
- Ability to explore and understand customers' requirements to ensure a high level of responsive service.
- Ability to analyze facts and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at a conclusion
- Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skills
- Ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with others in a friendly and respectful
manner. - Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to perform multiple projects/tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy.
Compensation: - Compensation: $86,000 - $105,100
- Eligible for yearly bonus
