Job DescriptionYou will be the Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager - Level 5 for the Enterprise Production Engineering team which is responsible for leading test-equipment strategy, acquisition, and lifecycle management across Aeronautics.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager - Level 5 you will be responsible for guiding a team of Test Engineers, overseeing test-equipment programs, and driving digital-transformation initiatives that increase equipment availability and reduce cycle time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Direct staffing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and career development for the Test Engineering team.
- Prioritize, schedule, and monitor test-equipment projects to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery while navigating site-specific processes and security requirements.
- Lead digital-transformation efforts: evaluate emerging technologies, automate manual workflows, and integrate data-driven tools that improve equipment uptime.
- Provide technical leadership for root-cause analysis, corrective-action implementation, and predictive monitoring to prevent issues before they impact production.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external suppliers, translating requirements into clear operational roadmaps.

• Experience with Business Metrics to drive performance (cost, schedule, quality)
• Experience with Project Management, Project Engineering, &/or Program Management
• Engineering, Design or Test-Engineering experience developing, qualifying, or validating equipment, systems, or processes.
• Experience as a Team Lead (formal or informal)
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
Desired skills• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand, troubleshoot, and improve complex test-equipment systems.
• Experience developing and executing strategic process-improvement initiatives.
• Background in contracts, change-management, or bid/proposal preparation.
• Familiarity with subcontractor-related business processes such as invoicing, billing, and funding.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for daily interaction with peers, internal/external customers, management, and production technicians.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced test environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Quick learner who works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and enjoys tackling challenging problems.
• Active Secret clearance.
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
