The Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space Weapons and Information Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Analyst in our Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) in New Orleans, Louisiana. We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technology Analyst to lead planning and execution of manufacturing engineering projects that drive improvements in engineering designs, manufacturing processes, systems integration, and software applications. This role develops and implements advanced manufacturing technologies into production, leads technical and administrative activities to meet regulatory and production requirements, and works with internal and external stakeholders to ensure products and services meet customer and program needs. The position operates with minimal direction and provides consultation and training on manufacturing procedures and processes.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead planning, coordination, and execution of projects using manufacturing engineering practices.
Develop and implement advanced manufacturing technologies and guide their integration into production.
Propose, approve, and document supporting processes and procedures; maintain document configuration control.
Lead technical and administrative tasks to satisfy regulatory, production, and process requirements in support of the manufacturing plan.
Provide consultation, training, and guidance on procedures and best practices for engineering and production teams.
Analyze and improve engineering designs, manufacturing processes, large-scale systems integration, and software applications.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer and program requirements are met.
Apply systems thinking to anticipate impacts of changes and identify cross-functional opportunities for improvement.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Management, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degree or equivalent aerospace industry experience preferred.
10+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, quality engineering, production systems, and manufacturing process development supporting complex aerospace products and spaceflight hardware.
Demonstrated success leading large cross-functional organizations, driving operational excellence, and implementing advanced manufacturing technologies in production environments.
Extensive experience in quality management systems, AS9100 compliance, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong technical expertise in manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, process documentation, configuration management, and production system optimization.
Proven ability to partner with executive leadership, customers, suppliers, and government agencies (NASA, DCMA, etc.) to resolve complex technical and programmatic challenges.
Experience developing workforce capability through training programs, mentoring, organizational development, and technical leadership.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills with the ability to influence across multiple sites and organizations.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience supporting NASA, human spaceflight, launch vehicle, defense, or other highly regulated aerospace programs.
Experience integrating advanced manufacturing technologies such as robotic automation, automated drilling/fastening systems, digital tooling, laser alignment systems, or model-based manufacturing solutions.
Familiarity with Boeing production systems, quality systems, manufacturing planning processes, and large-scale production environments.
Experience leading large-scale systems integration efforts across multiple facilities and geographically dispersed teams.
Knowledge of CATIA V5, digital work instructions, manufacturing execution systems (MES), product lifecycle management (PLM), and other aerospace manufacturing software tools.
Demonstrated success in reducing rework, improving first-pass quality, and driving measurable operational performance improvements.
Lean, Six Sigma, AS9100 Lead Auditor, or related continuous improvement and quality certifications.

Summary pay range: $ 111,350 – $ 150,650
