Job Description

Ichor Systems is seeking an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our Machine shop and Tig (GTAW) weld work cells.

This role is responsible for leading production teams, ensuring safety, maintaining quality standards, meeting production schedules, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, manufacturing experience, and a solid understanding of manual machining and Tig (GTAW) weld operations and production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of manual machining and Tig (GTAW) weld operators and production personnel.
  • Oversee saw operations to ensure materials are processed and delivered on schedule to downstream manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure production goals, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met.
  • Coordinate with Machining, Welding, Assembly, Quality, and Production Control teams to support customer delivery commitments.
  • Promote and enforce a safe working environment by adhering to all company and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Monitor machine performance, productivity, and material utilization to maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor scrap, rework, productivity, and machine utilization metrics.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, throughput, and cost reduction.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and operating procedures.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance and operational excellence.
  • Schedule staffing and assign workloads based on production demands.
  • Investigate and resolve production, quality, and equipment-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and employee documentation.
  • Participate in performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and employee development activities.


Qualifications

Required
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in precision machining, fabrication, or semiconductor-related manufacturing.
  • Experience supervising saw cutting operations for metal materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and material specifications.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and production scheduling.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and workplace safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work orders, and technical drawings.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems.


Preferred
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Forklift certification or experience in a material handling environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).


For candidates in CA: The pay range for this position is $99,00 - $169,000, exempt, per year.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
