About the role
Lead the Manufacturing Engineering and sustaining activities for the Coil Shop, ensuring safe, stable, and efficient operations. This role is responsible for developing and leading a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians, improving OEE, reducing downtime, and achieving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities
•    Lead, coordinate, and develop the Manufacturing Engineering and Technician team.
•    Maintain a strong shop floor presence, establish priorities, and ensure timely response to operational issues.
•    Lead sustaining activities for Fin Press, Hairpin Bender, Expander, Brazing, and Leak Testing processes.
•    Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by addressing key losses in availability, performance, and quality.
•    Analyze and reduce downtime, minor stops, speed losses, and recurring equipment failures through Pareto analysis and corrective action plans.
•    Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams to improve equipment recovery and enhance MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability, and PM compliance.
•    Lead root cause analysis activities and ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented and verified for effectiveness.
•    Maintain stable and capable manufacturing processes through control of process parameters, recipes, tooling, and operating methods.
•    Implement continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, scrap reduction, downtime reduction, and cost savings.
•    Develop and maintain work instructions, PFMEAs, Control Plans, SPC systems, and visual management tools.
•    Lead CAPEX projects to increase capacity, reliability, and performance, including equipment installation, startup, and validation.
•    Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and process transfers into sustaining operations.
•    Coordinate activities with Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, Tool Room, NPI, and Advanced Manufacturing teams.
•    Promote technical development of the team, data-driven decision-making, and Carrier Excellence (CX) principles.

Minimum Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, maintenance, or related technical functions.
•    At least 2 years of experience leading engineers, technicians, or cross-functional teams.
•    Hands-on manufacturing floor experience supporting high-volume production processes.
•    Proven experience improving OEE, reducing downtime, and driving improvements in MTBF, MTTR, and equipment reliability.
•    Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Why, Ishikawa, A3, 8D, or DMAIC.
•    Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Core Tools, including PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA.
•    Experience managing CAPEX projects, equipment installation, commissioning, and validation.
•    Strong ability to analyze performance metrics and translate data into actionable improvement plans.
•    Conversational English proficiency.


Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience in a Coil Shop environment or coil manufacturing for the HVAC industry.
•    Knowledge of Fin Press, Hairpin Bender, Expander, Brazing, and Leak Testing processes.
•    Experience with metal stamping, tube forming, expansion processes, aluminum, or copper manufacturing.
•    Knowledge of TPM, equipment reliability, and autonomous maintenance practices.
•    Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, or equivalent certification.
