Responsibilities

  • Develop Basis of Estimates for total manufacturing and testing work scope
  • Utilize KPIs to drive cost/schedule performance in support of Program objectives
  • Ensure material readiness for manufacturing orders
  • Provide variance analysis and corrective action plans as needed
  • Input manufacturing/testing data for program reviews
  • Track project action items and labor reporting
  • Oversee Quality and Compliance including Risk and Opportunity management
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and Should Cost Analysis
  • Develop manufacturing plans as necessary.

Full Job Description

Leidos’ Defense Sector Manufacturing Segment is seeking a Manufacturing Program Integrator to join team located in Huntsville, AL.  The position will perform a key function serving as the primary integration point between the Small Cruise Missile and Ground Launched Medium Cruise Missile Program and the Leidos Defense Sector Manufacturing Team. This role will integrate manufacturing activities across multiple sites to ensure appropriate planning, organizing, and efficient execution of manufacturing and testing scope for the program. The Manufacturing Program Integrator will work closely with Program leadership, Manufacturing Site leaders, manufacturing program managers/CAMs at the sites, and Finance personnel within the program and within manufacturing to ensure clarity of the demand signal for manufacturing and to provide a clear communication path on manufacturing performance back to the programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for the manufacturing and test to build and execute the full manufacturing strategy.

  • Interfacing with all functional groups and develop a full Cross-Functional Integration team.

  • Partner with Program Leadership in support of proposal and capture efforts of potential opportunities.

  • Partner with Program Leadership to identify manufacturing and testing content in the program and coordinate make/buy decision making with Manufacturing functional team.

  • Coordinate with all cost groups to transition project to full-rate production.

  • Coordinate manufacturing-related budgets/costs with Program finance and Manufacturing finance to ensure successful execution and appropriate capacity and resource planning.

  • Coordinate hand-offs with site-specific CAMs on manufacturing content and establish recurring reviews to status cost/schedule/technical performance across the manufacturing sites.

  • Partner with Manufacturing site and functional leadership to develop Basis of Estimates for total manufacturing and testing work scope.

  • Partner with Manufacturing site and functional leadership to drive cost and schedule performance in support of Program objectives using KPI’s and Metrics.

  • Partner with Manufacturing site to ensure material readiness for manufacturing orders

  • Provide variance analysis, rationale, and corrective action plans as required by the Programs and/or Manufacturing.

  • Provide manufacturing and testing related inputs to Program leadership in support of recurring program reviews.

  • Track project action items and track Project ID labor reporting.

  • Provide Quality and Compliance Oversight including Risk and Opportunity management

  • Drive Continuous Improvement plan and Should Cost Analysis to ensure program efficiencies and profitability.

  • Lead/develop elements of the manufacturing plan, as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline with at least 8 years of experience in manufacturing management with an in-depth understanding of cost and schedule management techniques for such projects.

  • 8 years of project leadership, or personnel management in a manufacturing program/project environment.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Control Account Manager on a complex hardware production program.

  • Experience coordinating and organizing activities between a Program organization and an executing organization such as manufacturing.

  • Demonstrated experience in applying EVMS and reporting on complex projects using earned value KPIs.

  • Manufacturing experience in one or more of the following areas – electronics, cables or complex system integration and test.

  • Experience creating and providing recurring briefings to leadership stakeholders on program/product status.

  • Experience with a program start-up (NPI), plant optimization and/or plant operations.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing management for Defense, Aerospace or Commercial projects.

  • Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering training and applicable experience.

  • MBA or advanced technical degree.

  • Experience with AS9100 and DCMA standards.

  • Experience conducting Manufacturing Risk and Readiness Assessments.

  • Familiarity with the DoD Manufacturing Readiness Levels.

  • Experience with Costpoint MRP.

  • Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems.

  • Experience leading a cross-functional team with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Manufacturing

  • Experience planning hardware product realization efforts.

  • Program/Project Management experience. PMP/PMI Certification a plus.
