Manufacturing Production Supervisor (Solventum)

The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Manufacturing Production Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Providing direct supervision through leadership, coaching, training, development, allocating work assignments, and utilizing performance feedback.
  • Leading team members during evening, overnight, and/or weekend shifts.
  • Meeting plant and department objectives in the areas of safety, quality, service, productivity, and employee engagement.
  • Supporting shift administration activities such as time reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime, etc.
  • Perform regular safety coaching
  • Execute on the planned production schedule
  • Support growth and development of employees
  • Coordinate daily work schedules, and assignments to meet priorities
  • Prepare incoming shifts for success


This position will be leading team members during evening, overnight, and/or weekend shifts.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND three (3) years of manufacturing and/or production experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) AND seven (7) years of manufacturing and/or production experience in a private, public, government or military environment


In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
  • Experience in continuous production operations setting
  • Previous leadership experience, including team lead and/or supervisory experience
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience


Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentation)
  • Previous experience supervising hourly direct reports
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, Solventum corporate systems relevant to Plant Operations


Work location: Onsite - Brookings, SD

Travel: May include up to 2% domestic

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
