Role Overview

Support engineering activities in a fabrication area or processing laboratory. You'll perform experiments and tests, evaluate processes and products, help identify process problems, and document and communicate results. You'll also monitor fabrication activities, process controls, materials, supplies, and quality, including cable harness fabrication and routing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform experiments and tests that support engineering activities.
  • Evaluate new processes and products and help isolate process problems.
  • Design and conduct simple experiments when needed.
  • Collect results and maintain accurate process and test logs.
  • Prepare clear oral and written reports of results.
  • Monitor wafer fabrication, process controls, materials, and supplies.
  • Support cable harness fabrication and routing activities.
  • Check processes and equipment for proper functioning and identify discrepancies.
  • Monitor and verify quality using established statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Advise operators on processes and procedures.
  • Provide engineers with relevant process information and test results.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience performing mechanical and electrical assembly, including cable harness fabrication and routing, or process evaluations in a fabrication, manufacturing, or processing environment.
  • Experience with cable harness fabrication and routing.
  • Ability to monitor fabrication processes, process controls, materials, and supplies and identify discrepancies or process problems.
  • Ability to follow established quality-control, process, and safety procedures, including statistical process or other control procedures when applicable.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints.


Desired Skills

Nice-to-have skills that strengthen candidacy but are not required:
  • Experience evaluating new processes or products.
  • Experience identifying and isolating process problems.
  • Experience supporting mechanical and electrical processing operations.
  • Experience with cable harness fabrication, routing, and related assembly activities.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $56600.00 - $105000.00

The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
