What You Will Do :

  • This role is responsible for defining, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to support safe, highquality, and efficient production. The Process Engineer leads process qualifications, documentation updates, datadriven improvements, and implementation of engineering changes. In addition, the role provides technical expertise to lead or support resolution of production issues, ensuring both shortterm stability and longterm process robustness.
  • Provide technical support to production to maintain stable and efficient part flow, and lead or support resolution of production issues when engineering expertise is required.
  • Troubleshoot process interruptions and collaborate with operators, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to restore normal operation and prevent recurrence.
  • Lead or support root-cause investigations for process issues, yield losses, or nonconformances using structured problemsolving methods.
  • Implement and verify corrective and preventive actions to ensure long-term process robustness.
  • Lead or support PPAP activities, including FMEA development and updates, control plan alignment, and First Article Inspections (FAIs).
  • Lead or support process development, part & machine qualifications, engineering changes, and validation activities, including trial planning, data collection, capability analysis, and documentation.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities to reduce downtime, improve yield and throughput, and increase process capability and repeatability.
  • Maintain and update process documentation including work instructions, standard work, control plans, PFMEA inputs, process flows, and engineering standards.
  • Monitor key process metrics and use data-driven analysis to identify trends, risks, or improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with operations and training teams to develop and deliver training on process standards, changes, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Support safety and compliance by ensuring processes meet all internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or a related field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to collect and analyze production or quality data to support problem solving and process improvements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting production environments and working directly with operators and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot manufacturing process issues and equipment disruptions.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Aerospace Industry experience
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing coatings environment
  • Experience with equipment qualifications and process trials

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
