Manufacturing Operations Manager

Position Summary:

Western Partitions Inc. (WPI) is seeking an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead all manufacturing operations within a WAI production facility. This position is responsible for the overall performance of the facility, including production output, labor management, safety performance, quality control, productivity, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with Sr. Management, Manufacturing Engineers, Safety Professionals, Quality Control, Design Engineers, Human Resources, and Administrative teams to drive operational excellence and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Leadership: Lead manufacturing operations and teams to achieve safety, quality, and delivery goals while driving accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee development.
  • Production Schedule Management: Oversee and optimize manufacturing operations, production schedules, and resource utilization to meet customer requirements, maximize efficiency, and eliminate workflow bottlenecks.
  • Labor Management: Manage manufacturing workforce planning, staffing, productivity, and performance to ensure labor efficiency, accountability, employee development, and retention.
  • Safety Leadership: Lead facility safety initiatives by ensuring regulatory compliance, driving a proactive safety culture, and promoting accountability, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
  • Quality Management: Maintain quality performance and customer compliance by driving quality standards, corrective actions, continuous improvement, and operational excellence throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Continuous Improvement Process Optimization: Lead continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to optimize processes, enhance safety and quality, reduce waste and costs, increase capacity, and drive operational efficiency through data-driven improvements.
  • KPI Management Performance Reporting: Establish, monitor, and report on key operational KPIs to drive performance improvements, achieve business objectives, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate across engineering, safety, quality, HR, procurement, and project teams to support operational improvements, product introductions, and business objectives while meeting customer and project requirements.
  • Facility Equipment Management: Ensure the facility and equipment remain safe, organized, efficient, and production-ready by overseeing maintenance, asset utilization, infrastructure requirements, and capacity planning for future growth.


Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum 7-10 years of manufacturing leadership experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience leading supervisors and large production.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production planning, labor management, safety, and quality systems.
  • Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using ERP, MES, and manufacturing reporting.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, manufacturing safety practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and drive performance improvements through KPI management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Data Center Experience: Construction, Manufactured Component Supplier, or Operations.
  • Experience managing fabrication, assembly, powder coating, or industrial manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of capacity planning, takt time management, and facility.
  • Experience supporting multi-disciplinary teams across operations, engineering, quality, and safety functions.
  • Experience leading operational growth and manufacturing expansion.
