POSITION: Manufacturing Operations ManagerSHIFT: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PAY RATE: $98,000 - $115,000+ per hour (DOE) + Full Benefit PackageLOCATION: Minnkota Windows West Fargo, ND
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate activities related to production, quality assurance, safety, continuous improvement, and document control. This role ensures operational excellence by driving process improvements, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Leadership and Team Management

  • Production Oversight/Planning
  • Provide leadership to production teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Supervise and mentor direct reports to ensure productivity and quality goals are met.
  • Establish and maintain a high-performance team environment.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely completion of products.
  • Coordinate workflow and materials with Supply Chain Management.
  • Adjust schedules as needed to meet customer demands and minimize downtime.
  • Quality Management
  • Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee inspection processes, audits, and corrective actions to address non-conformances and maintain certifications.
  • Analyze quality metrics and identify areas for improvement in production processes and product performance.
  • Safety Oversight
  • Develop and enforce workplace safety policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to minimize workplace hazards.
  • Promote a culture of safety through training, communication, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to identify improvement opportunities, cost reduction, technology upgrades and execute action plans.
  • Monitor KPIs and use data-driven insights to drive decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement across all departments.
  • Documentation Control
  • Ensure that all manufacturing documents (such as technical drawings, specifications, manufacturing procedures, quality control records, and safety manuals) are up-to-date and properly filed for easy access.
  • Develop and maintain standardized templates for various manufacturing processes and ensure they are being used consistently across departments.
  • Process and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for different aspects of the manufacturing process, from raw material sourcing to final assembly of windows.
  • Track any changes to manufacturing processes or materials and update relevant documentation accordingly.
  • Reporting and Metrics
  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to quality, safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Present regular reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
