DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Manufacturing Operations organization is looking for aManufacturing Operations Manager 3 to oversee theAMEC Manufacturing Cell Team located in Baltimore, MD.
The Manufacturing Operations Manager 3 will have organizational responsibility for up to 100+ employees including Manufacturing Management and Union-represented employees. The primary mission is to meet or exceed customer requirements by providing quality products on time and within program cost targets, while promoting a lean manufacturing environment.
What You99ll Get to Do:
Providing leadership direction in areas such as: Technical Guidance, Process Development, Continuous Improvement, Capacity Planning, Capital & Facility Planning, Cost/ Benefit Analysis, Manpower Planning, Staffing, Performance Management, and ISO9001, AS9100 and all auditable processes
Managing annual budgetary responsibilities of $1M - $1.5M
Provide directions to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policies
Drive employee efficiency
Meet product cost and schedule targets
Manage the area to produce quality products
Engage employees to achieve their highest potential
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor99s Degree with 8 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment, Master99s Degree with 6 years99 experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
Experience as a Functional Leader across teams
Experience with effective communication with all levels of Manufacturing, Program, Engineering, Functional Support Management, and Professionals
Experience with developing and managing budgets with responsibility for cost performance
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Level Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a union represented environment
Experience with robotics, RF, ISO9001/AS9100
LEAN manufacturing and process improvement experience
Active Secret level security clearance
Experience with the following metrics: Performance Index, Utilization, Test Yields and Rework Hours
Technical STEM degree

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,300.00 - $228,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate99s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
