Metals Production Operations within a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. This is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing production, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple shifts.

What You'll DoAs our Manufacturing Manager, you will provide leadership and direction for a large production team while ensuring customer expectations, production targets, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage production operations across multiple shifts
- Direct and develop a team of 40+ employees, including:
- Manufacturing Team Leaders
- Manufacturing Engineers
- Operators
- Set-Up Technicians
- Tool Shop Personnel
- Assembly Teams
- Maintenance Technicians
- Quality Personnel
- Safety
- Quality
- Delivery
- Cost
- Productivity
- Monitor and improve key manufacturing metrics including:
- OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
- Scrap Reduction
- Defect Costs
- Inventory Levels
- Production Efficiency
- Lead daily production meetings and shop floor management activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
- Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Maintenance teams to optimize production flow
- Participate in internal, customer, and certification audits
- Support capacity planning, workforce planning, and production scheduling
- Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, safety, and teamwork
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field OR equivalent manufacturing leadership experience
- 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience managing 40+ direct reports across multiple shifts
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
- Proven ability to drive operational improvements and meet production goals
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with employees, leadership, and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Flexible schedule with the ability to support off-shift operations when needed
Preferred Qualifications- Automotive manufacturing experience
- Experience with metals processing, assembly, injection molding, or related manufacturing operations
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 quality standards
- SAP experience
- Experience leading lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Work EnvironmentThis position operates within a manufacturing facility and requires regular presence on the production floor.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including:
- Safety Glasses
- Hearing Protection
- Slip-Resistant Safety Toe Footwear
Exposure to noise, machinery, and moving equipment is expected.
Physical Requirements- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Push and pull up to 35 lbs. using material handling equipment
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and material handling
- Occasional bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and overhead reaching
