Buffalo, NY * Be part of an exciting journey as we prepare for production at our new facility in the Western New York Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP).

Salary Range: $89,590 - $111,990

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
Your role
The role leads and drives performance in the machine shop. The machine shop oversight consists of HMC, mill turn, grinders, balancer, cleaners, and other machines located in the kaizen room.

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient product flow to meet or exceed customer demand while maintaining a safe, ergonomic work environment.

Key performance measures include safety, on-time delivery, quality, efficiency, and utilization.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Management, development and cell leadership of a machining area to ensure the cost effective and timely delivery of the designated components. Full planning and control of demand and production requirements.
2. Responsible for the achievement of safety, quality, delivery and cost targets for a complete range of
manufactured pro To ensure the cost effective and on-time delivery of components and products from the Cell to the Customer.
3. To continue to develop a team culture which is customer focused, primarily, on improved flexibility of
operations.
4. To develop and promote the application of the continuous improvement process.
5. To liaise with development teams to facilitate the smooth introduction of new products and associated
processes to the cell in order to meet timescale, quality and cost targets.
6. To continue to develop a team culture which is customer focused with a primary emphasis upon improved flexibility of operations (indirect as well as direct).

Education Level:
• HS Diploma/GED Required; degree in Engineering Technology or Business preferred

Relevant Previous Experience:
• 8 years experience within a manufacturing operation with 5 years leadership experience.
• Experience of managing and motivating teams - Experience in leading quality and other improvement projects.
• Lean Managenent expereince and/or Six Sigma.
• Experience in facilitating and leading continuous improvement activities.

Other Soft Skills and Knowledge
• Has continuous improvement mindset.
• Experienced in problem solving.

Physical Demands
This role involves a mix of desk-based engineering tasks, on-site inspections, and interaction with manufacturing processes, requiring moderate physical activity in varied environments.

Sitting/Stationary Positioning: Remains in a seated position frequently (about 40-50% of the time) for tasks such as designing, analyzing data, or using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Hand and Finger Use/Dexterity: Uses hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls occasionally to moderately (30-40% of the time), with manual dexterity and arm-hand steadiness for tasks like sketching, operating computers, or handling small tools; near vision required for detailed drawings or screens.

Standing/Walking: Traverses moderate distances or remains in an upright stationary position frequently (30-40% of the time) to inspect production lines, collaborate with teams, or evaluate equipment on the shop floor.

Moving Objects/Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally moves, transports, or positions objects weighing up to 20 pounds, such as tools, prototypes, or materials, during inspections or testing; requires minimal to moderate exertion for pushing or pulling equipment.

Bending/Twisting/Reaching: Positions self by bending, twisting, or stretching the body occasionally (20-30% of the time) to access equipment, inspect machinery, or reach workstations; moderate flexibility needed.
