Overview

Provide operational and people leadership for a manufacturing area, ensuring sustained volume production performance, organizational readiness, and continuous improvement. The Senior Manufacturing Team Lead II owns high quality and on time production output, staffing and capability development, and operational stability, while supporting new product introduction and ramp up activities in alignment with business objectives. Ensures teams execute standard work safely with consistent quality and within established timeframes.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Manager, Manufacturing Assembly Operations Leader

COLLABORATES WITH: Group Leaders, Team Leads, Production Engineering, Program Managers, Planning, Clean Room Logistics, Shipping and Delivery, Environmental Health & Safety, Quality Engineering, Operational Excellence, Design & Engineering, and Customer Support

This role is going to be first shift M-F 6:00am-2:30pm

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees assigned work centers on-shift production execution
  • Leads and provides input to module output through strategic awareness with two week to 13 week production horizon
  • Ensure sustained volume output, quality, and cost performance on-shift
  • Collaborates and Communications with off-shift peers to achieve performance targets
  • Lead and develop Team Leads, module specialists, and technicians.
  • Responsible for meeting assigned area staffing requirements to ensure production targets are met.
  • Responsible for employee performance management, talent development, assisting and supporting career development, and succession planning as needed.
  • Translate Factory mission, vision, and objectives to working level goals for individuals and team
  • Executes tactical and strategic initiatives, cascades to team
  • Provide individual annual performance dialogues with regular development and performance check ins
  • Ensure readiness of processes, infrastructure, and training for new product introduction
  • Drive Quality, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Leads or sponsors workcenter 4C and Quick Win improvement projects, participates in natural team or cross-sector 4C and A3 projects
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, HR/legal, and ISO standards, policies and processes.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to remove bottlenecks and improve end-to-end performance
  • Report operational performance and risks to senior leadership


Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 3+ years people management and operational leadership experience
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment, hands-on experience preferred
  • Deep knowledge of production management, quality systems, and Lean Manufacturing
  • Proven track record of Lean Manufacturing implementation and sustainability
  • Lean Yellow Belt or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years with skills such as: MS Office, SAP, ERP software

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work in a Cleanroom environment (constant 72℉; working under ISO 9001/14001 standards)
  • Must be able to work in full PPE (full body coveralls, hood, clean room safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves, safety glasses) for entire duration of shift and re-gown multiple times per day
  • Routinely required to sit, walk, talk, hear, use hands to keyboard, use fingers to handle and feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach and stretch
  • Must be able to perform solo lifts and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required -- close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to work with/on ladders, work on platforms, work around chemicals, operate overhead cranes, fork trucks and motorized pallet jacks.


Educational Requirements:
  • High School Degree or equivalent
