SummaryThe Manufacturing Equipment Engineer will optimize test procedures and test equipment in collaboration with Manufacturing, Innovation (R&D), and the Manufacturing Engineering team in Switzerland. The Manufacturing Equipment Engineer is part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team and reports to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering - Americas. This position bears full responsibility for all agreed upon goals and objectives.
What You'll Do- Monitor and improve production equipment including flow measurement/calibration, semi-automated assembly, and end-of-line testers, ensuring high accuracy and reliability
- Create and implement updates to test procedures for automated testers and programming units
- Define requirements for new testing and automation systems in collaboration with teams in Switzerland
- Ensure test programs and equipment are reliable, documented, and traceable
- Support integration of new software into production systems
- Assist in optimizing production tools and user-friendly software
- Assist maintenance team as 2nd level support for production equipment across global sites
- Provide technical support to factory staff and maintenance teams
- Ensure backup coverage during absences
- Contribute to improving First Pass Rate and reliability of products, work equipment and processes
- Support root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues and cases
- Build up and document knowledge of test sequences, software tests, and production tools
- Support cross-functional projects to develop or improve production equipment
- Coordinate tasks with local and global teams
- Assist in technical definition of new testing and automation systems
Who You Are- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or similar technical degree
- 3+ years work experience, preferably in automation and/or fluidics/thermodynamics
- Experience with LabView, PLC Programming, and/or Beckhoff (Twin CAT Structured Text) in industrial applications, or other programming languages
- Knowledge of robotics and automation systems (hardware/ software)
- Understanding of programming logic and IT networks
- Experience in a production or industrial environment
- Fluidics and/or automation experience highly preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel globally (approximately 10%)
- Very good English communication skills
- German language skills are a plus

The base pay for this position ranges from $95,000 - $110,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 15% of an employee's annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
