Full Job Description
Manufacturing Engineer
Your main responsibilities will be:
Provides time studies, capacity analysis (manpower, tooling, capital and facilities), line balancing and crew loading, work sampling and PC computer data analysis.
Establishes labor requirements, line and sub-assembly balancing data and expectancy time performances, headcount planning and budgeting concepts
Collects and analyzes data and metrics and presents the information to large audiences
Provides productivity planning with accompanying future strategies for improvement
Develops and maintains engineered time standards
Applies statistical methods and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing assembly processes, labor requirements and production standards
Determines and improves processes to meet production levels
Schedules and sequences job plans to support effective workflow
Supports work specific to detail parts manufacturing and assembly operation of composite and metallic aerospace hardware within a manufacturing environment
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing setting
Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing principles, engineering practices, materials & physical sciences
Lean manufacturing experience required
Experience recommending improvements to manufacturing methods and processes such as utilization of personnel, material and utilities
Prior experience with development and maintenance of plant standards
Experience with creating valve stream maps
Ability to draft and design the layout of equipment, materials and work centers to optimize material flow, labor efficiency, safety, quality, productivity and ergonomics
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and machine specifications
MS Office experience
ERP/MRP system experience
Ability to travel
