Manufacturing Engineer Ruther Glen, VA
Overview The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and improving efficiency. This role supports BOM maintenance, equipment procurement, and the design of fixtures and assembly aids to support production.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs); collaborate with design and production teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify equipment needs, evaluate suppliers, and support procurement and purchasing activities.
- Design, develop, test, and validate fixtures, jigs, and assembly aids to improve assembly efficiency and quality.
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time, cost, and defects.
- Support quality assurance efforts to ensure fixtures and processes meet quality standards.
- Create and maintain documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, and equipment specifications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, production, quality, and procurement teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Proven experience with BOM maintenance, equipment procurement, and fixture/assembly aid design.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
