Position OverviewInternational is currently searching for a
Manufacturing Engineer Sr. - S13 Assembly to join our Huntsville Engine Plant.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday: 7:30 PM - 6:00 AM
Responsibilities- Support 2nd Shift for S13 Diesel Engine Assembly Line in day-to-day production activities to help meet customer product demand
- React to equipment uptime issues and drive towards permanent, cost-effective, and long-term solutions
- Perform research, design, and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment
- Assist in the accomplishment of plant quality and production objectives
- Perform product/process analysis for safety/ergonomics, quality improvement, and improved efficiency
- This position is an active on the floor support position which could entail standing for long periods of time
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of product manufacturing experience
OR
- Master's degree and no experience
OR
- At least 3 years of product manufacturing experience
Additional Requirements- Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills- Strong CAD experience, AutoCAD and NX Team Center preferred
- Ability to design and implement 3D printed tools and fixtures
- Familiarity with assembly tools including Atlas Copco DC torque tools, Camera Vision Systems, AGV's, etc.
- Must be proficient in computer usage including MS Office.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, etc.
- Familiarity with quality tools and processes including 8D Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA, etc.
- Must have thorough mechanical understanding of machines, tools, vehicles, and their design
- Must be able to work well in a dynamic manufacturing environment with positive attitude, ethics, and International Values
- Must demonstrate advanced reasoning skills, problem sensitivity, and data analysis
- Must have advanced mathematical skills; be able to use engineering judgment and critical thinking
- Must demonstrate ability to be self-directed
