In this position...

The Program Implementation Manufacturing Engineers leads and implements processes, tools, facilities including cycle line layouts during the launch of new model programs in assembly plants

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Engage with VME-Core-Final-Body and Paint engineers as appropriate to understand new model program content and assumptions
  • Understand manufacturing implementation strategy to launch new model at the assembly plant.
  • Engage, on an as needed basis, tooling development, facilities, and/or conveyor/controls engineers for program specific, finite strategy and content definition
  • Work collaboratively with assembly plant launch teams, product specialists, VOIE's to come up with bill of process and bill of sequence to launch the new model program.
  • Work collaboratively with design and release engineers, assembly plant launch teams, STA engineers to root cause and resolve issues identified during pre-production builds (TT / PP / MP1 and MP2).
  • Work collaboratively with assembly plant maintenance teams, CCM vendors, to install new model related tools, facilities and automation.
  • Monitor program costing and manage checkbook so that new model is launched within the allocated program budget as defined at milestone.
  • Actively participate in change control to understand changes in product design and analyze impact to manufacturing tooling facilities and labor


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or experience in equivalent engineering field.
  • 1 to 2 years' experience in automotive or other high volume manufacturing companies

This position is a salary grade 6-8 and ranges from $74,300-$166,200.,

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
