Your JobAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you will independently lead manufacturing engineering deliverables supporting New Product Introduction, product transfers, validation activities, and ongoing manufacturing operations. You will develop and improve manufacturing processes while helping drive projects from process development through manufacturing readiness.
What You Will Do Manufacturing Process Development - Develop and implement manufacturing processes, work instructions, routers, process flows, and standard operating procedures.
- Design and support work cells, manufacturing layouts, tooling, fixtures, and equipment improvements.
- Conduct time studies, labor analysis, line balancing, and capacity assessments.
- Support manufacturing readiness activities for NPI and product transfer projects.
Project Execution- Independently own manufacturing engineering deliverables for assigned projects and workstreams.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams to ensure successful product launches and transfers.
- Maintain project status, identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and support stage-gate deliverables.
- Drive issue resolution and provide technical support during builds, validations, and production ramp-ups.
Validation & Quality Support- Support IQ, OQ, PQ, and other validation activities as required.
- Participate in PFMEA development, risk assessments, engineering studies, and investigation activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality systems and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement- Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
- Lead process optimization efforts to improve yield, reduce scrap, reduce cycle times, and increase productivity.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Value Stream Mapping.
Training & Collaboration- Train production personnel, technicians, and support staff on new processes and standard work.
- Coordinate with suppliers, equipment vendors, and internal stakeholders during implementation activities.
- Provide technical guidance to manufacturing technicians and production teams.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) - Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience independently leading manufacturing engineering workstreams or deliverables
- Experience developing, implementing, or optimizing manufacturing processes
- Experience with engineering documentation, change control, root cause analysis, process validation, or risk management
- Experience using 3D modeling software (Solidworks Preferred)
What Will Put You Ahead - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in medical device, regulated manufacturing, or highly controlled production environments
- Experience with overmolding, injection molding, or cable harness manufacturing
- Experience with automation equipment or fixture development
- Experience supporting cleanroom manufacturing environments
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience with IQ, OQ, and PQ process validation
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction or product transfers
This role is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship.
For this role, we anticipate paying $95,000 - $115,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
