Manufacturing Engineer II (Silent-Aire)
What you will do
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing manufacturing processes and
methods required for a premier HVAC manufacturing facility. Key duties include oversite and
management of large capital projects that increase plant capacity, reduce cost, improve
productivity, reduce job hazards, and /or improve product quality. Develop and implement
manufacturing engineering department standards and policies; provide training, coaching and
support across the department/organization.
How you will do it
• Process engineering change requests.
• Troubleshoot production problems.
• Assist in trouble-shooting assembly and fabrication equipment.
• Optimize work-station layout.
• Justify, specify, and manage Capital projects & equipment.
• Introduce new products (BOM scrubbing, Manufacturing Trial Lots, Assist in Training, and work with
Design Engineering on production issues related to Design for Manufacturing).
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials and Routings (Assembly and Fabrication).
• Support and/or lead Lean projects.
• Sets operational objectives and delivering results that have a direct impact on achievement of results
with the job area or within the context of a wider operational goals.
• Work to define and explain practices, standards, policies, etc. to others internally
• Adapts or enhances quality or value in existing methods; make better as part of day-to-day activities
What we look for
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other related manufacturing discipline
• 6+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering experience
• Lean manufacturing principles (material flow, material presentation, process flow, workstation
design)
• Advanced knowledge and skills within a specific discipline, integrating theory and principles
with organizational practices.
