Full Job Description
Summary

SENS is seeking a self-motivated manufacturing process engineer to join our growing company. This individual will work closely with design engineering, production, safety, and quality to troubleshoot production issues, testing issues, improve production processes and equipment, and to ensure continuous flow of manufactured product without defects. This role is heavily focused on electrical engineering and involves troubleshooting and optimizing production processes, requiring a strong understanding of how products are built, integrated, and tested from power electronics perspective.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily technical support, troubleshooting, and problem solving in production to support daily production goals and plans by resolving process flow issues and removing constraints from production operators.
  • Enhance and maintain existing build and test instructions to ensure products are built and tested correctly every time.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair manufacturing test equipment, repair cable harnesses, reset test software, and update settings as needed.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve fixtures and tools to support production and test.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal defects and customer complaints.
  • Develop troubleshooting guides and provide training for production operators.
  • Conduct manufacturing process and bill of material audits to ensure that operators are following the correct processes and bill of materials are accurate.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical field of study.
  • 3+ years of technical support and/or new product introduction in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working and communicating with electrical test equipment such as voltmeters, data acquisition systems, o-scopes, load banks and similar instruments to make manual and automated measurements.
  • Experience with software programming and ability to read and step through code to determine where issues exist.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot technical systems and their associated communication interfaces.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical part drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills for articulating technical approaches and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Flexible team player who actively establishes and maintains effective working relationships with company management and co-workers, suppliers, and occasionally with customers.


Preferred Qualifications
  • More advanced ability in software programming and coding (C#).
  • Understanding manufacturing principles, lean and six sigma methodologies, and process validation.
  • Experience with interactive use of ERP systems (SyteLine) for accessing BOMs, item masters, where-used, and supplier information.


Location: This position is located on-site in Longmont, CO.

Base Compensation: $80,000 - $97,000 is the projected compensation range for this role depending on the candidate's overall qualifications and experience.

Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
