Manufacturing Engineer- Electronics - Defense - Onsite Position

We have an exciting opportunity for aManufacturing Engineerto join our team in Santa Clarita, CA!

As our Manufacturing Engineer you will perform various analyses, design and/or assembly related to manufacturingandindustrial engineering projects. You will develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequencesand processes in the manufacture ofsub-assemblies and final assemblies for defense applications. You will Interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. You will estimate manufacturingcosts,determinetime standards, and makerecommendations for tooling and processingrequirements of new or existing production lines.You will lead and support continuous improvement projects and implement new technologies to streamline operations pursuing world class manufacturing specializing in integration and test. You will also maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Salary Information:$ 83,800.00 - 111,800.00 per year plus bonus

Your Challenge:

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) engineeronDesign for Manufacturability(DFM).Participate in Manufacturing Readiness(MR)Reviewand ensure MR Level maturityprior toproduction phase.Work with NPI engineersand design engineersin coordinating the release of new products and conduct reducibility reviewsof engineering drawings prior to release.

  • Performs various operational or methods analyses, including but not limited to simulation,related to labor standards and reviews product/project flow data, equipment, and labor requirements for use in conducting manufacturing operations, increasing productivity, and reducing production unit cost.Take initiatives to lead continuous improvement projects.

  • Assists in the evaluation of engineering changes and/or other specifications requirements and performs as technical liaison with other engineering personnel such as program management, finance, design, quality, procurement, inspection, and production.

  • Create and update manufacturing standard procedures defining specific manufacturing processes.

  • Establishes Manufacturing process flow.

  • Create assembly work instructions and rework/repair instructions.

  • Create technical training material and provide training to production and engineering staff.

  • Continue toreview and evaluate new technologies to be adopted into our operations.

  • Support Based of Estimate (BOE)forRequest for Quote (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), which include both new business andRMA (Return Materials Authorization)/Overhaul and Repair (O&R)

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing/industrial engineering

  • 2 to 4years’ manufacturing/industrial engineering experience

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, electrical schematics, specification, and MS Office suite or products.

  • Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assembly principles.

  • Experiencein electronics manufacturingand Integration and Test work environment.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply to practical situations.

  • Ability to solve problems and deal with variables in situations where limited standardization exists.

  • Experience in router and work instruction development

Preferred Qualification:

  • Minimum of 3years’manufacturing/industrial engineering experience

  • Experience in Agile PLM,S/4Hana, and Factory Logix

  • Leanand Six Sigma green and/or black belt

  • Experience in simulation softwareex. Process Simulator
