Manufacturing Engineer

Direct Hire

Grand Prairie, TX - onsite 5x a week

Pay: $80,000-100,000 plus performance bonus

We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to help improve manufacturing processes across a growing precision metal fabrication operation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving production challenges, analyzing manufacturing data, and implementing process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and throughput.

Working closely with production leadership, you'll evaluate live production metrics, identify root causes of manufacturing issues, and develop practical solutions that keep production moving. This is a highly visible role with opportunities to make an immediate impact as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor production performance and analyze manufacturing data to identify process inefficiencies and production bottlenecks.
  • Investigate quality, throughput, and workflow issues and develop practical solutions to improve performance.
  • Partner with production leadership and shop personnel to implement process improvements across fabrication operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Review production reports and identify trends affecting manufacturing performance.
  • Assist with process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Collaborate with operators and team leads to troubleshoot production challenges and improve daily operations.
  • Evaluate tooling, equipment, and manufacturing methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Support new product introductions and help develop efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications
  • Experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or similar role within a metal fabrication environment.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes such as laser cutting, CNC machining, press brake forming, welding, or sheet metal manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to interpret production data and translate findings into actionable process improvements.
  • Strong process-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor alongside production personnel.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
  • ERP experience is beneficial.
  • Engineering degree is not required; equivalent manufacturing experience will be considered.
