Position: Manufacturing Accountant

Primary Location: Remote USA or CANADASchedule: Full time, salariedReports To: Business Controller

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 + bonus + benefits.

Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.   The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position.   Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   More specific salary range for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process.  Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, benefits, pension contributions or additional incentives.  

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Accountant to support financial operations within a manufacturing environment overseeing multiple plants across the United States. This role is responsible for product costing, inventory accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and business partnering with operations to drive performance and support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close activities related to manufacturing operations.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and production variances.
• Maintain standard costing and support annual cost updates.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and performance analyses.
• Reconcile inventory and support physical inventory counts.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ERP system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation (or working toward CPA) preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
