The RoleThe Senior Producer, Workforce Solutions is responsible for driving organic growth through the acquisition of new clients and expansion of existing relationships. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to employers seeking solutions across employee benefits, total rewards, workforce strategy, wellbeing, compliance, retirement, and other human capital challenges.
The ideal candidate combines strong business development skills with a consultative approach and deep understanding of the workforce solutions landscape.
What Your Day Will Look Like- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan designed to achieve annual revenue and growth objectives.
- Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, centers of influence, and targeted prospecting efforts.
- Build relationships with C-suite executives, HR leaders, CFOs, and business owners to understand workforce challenges and strategic priorities.
- Conduct consultative client meetings focused on employee benefits, talent attraction and retention, wellbeing, compensation strategy, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
- Develop and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and business cases that demonstrate measurable client value.
- Partner with internal specialists across employee benefits, retirement, actuarial, wellbeing, compliance, analytics, and consulting functions to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Lead sales and renewal strategy discussions, identifying opportunities to deepen client engagement and expand service offerings.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, workforce challenges, healthcare cost drivers, labor market dynamics, and regulatory developments.
- Collaborate closely with service teams to ensure exceptional client experiences and long-term retention.
- Utilize CRM systems and sales analytics to manage pipeline activity, forecast revenue, and track business development efforts.
- Represent Howden at industry conferences, networking events, and client functions to enhance market presence and brand recognition.
- Serve as a mentor and resource to junior producers and business development professionals where appropriate.

Skills and Experience That Will Lead to Success- 7+ years of successful business development, producer, consultant, or advisory experience within employee benefits, workforce solutions, human capital consulting, HR technology, retirement consulting, or a related field.
- Demonstrated track record of generating new business revenue and developing long-term client relationships.
- Strong understanding of employee benefits and workforce-related solutions.
- Consultative selling approach with the ability to engage senior business leaders in strategic discussions.
- Ability to identify complex workforce challenges and develop tailored solutions.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong organizational and pipeline management capabilities.
- Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar systems.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth and client advocacy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple service lines and disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Active Life, Accident & Health License, or ability to obtain upon hire.
- CEBS, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, HRCI, CLU, ChFC, or other industry certifications preferred.
- Experience working with middle market and large employer clients.
- Established network within the employer, HR, benefits, or business leadership community.
Compensation and BenefitsThe expected base salary range for this role is $350,000 and $450,000, depending on experience and location.
