Requirements

Ember Group Consulting is an award-winning, rapidly growing global consulting firm, and we're looking for a Managing Director, Head of Growth & Client Partnerships ("Chief Revenue Officer") with an entrepreneurial spirit to match ours. This is a role for a builder who wants to help drive our rapid growth even further. You'll report directly to both the President and CEO and take true ownership of Ember's growth engine across our consulting service lines, in the U.S. and internationally (U.K and Canada).

We need someone who treats the revenue function like their own business: comfortable with ambiguity, energized by building, and willing to get hands-on with pipeline, deals, and people simultaneously. If you thrive inside a founder-led firm and want equity in the outcome of your work - not just a seat at the table - this is your opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Own the firm's revenue strategy and forecasting across consulting, in the U.S. and abroad
  • Stand up a high-performing business development function from the ground up - process, team, and culture
  • Serve as executive sponsor for strategic accounts, deepening client relationships and wallet share
  • Establish scalable sales processes, pipeline management, and CRM discipline where none exist today
  • Develop pricing strategy for consulting engagements
  • Partner with marketing to align demand generation and messaging with growth goals
  • Lead go-to-market integration as Ember expands into new markets and completes acquisitions
  • Deliver accurate revenue reporting and pipeline reviews to firm leadership

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive revenue leadership experience, including senior sales or business development leadership within professional services or consulting (financial services, life sciences, energy & utilities, healthcare industries preferred)
  • A demonstrated entrepreneurial track record - building a function, team, or business, ideally in a founder-led or rapid growth-stage environment
  • Proven track record scaling B2B sales organizations
  • Deep experience selling into financial services, healthcare, energy, and/or technology
  • Experience operating across international or multi-market environments preferred
  • Expertise with consulting business models (MSAs, SOWs, margins) strongly preferred
  • Strong executive presence and comfort operating as a peer to firm leadership and representing Ember with C-suite clients
  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • Geographic preference: Charlotte, NYC, Atlanta preferred (but not required)

Benefits

Why Ember?

At Ember, you'll have the opportunity to work directly with healthcare executive teams on high-impact strategic transactions - while being part of a collaborative, high-growth consulting firm.

This engagement is part of a broader healthcare transaction pipeline, with opportunity to expand into integration, corporate development strategy, and value capture initiatives as we continue to grow.

Medical insurance, Vision insurance, Dental insurance, 401(k)
