Manager, Value Analysis


 

What you will be doing:

The Manager, Value Analysis will be part of the system wide, Physician-led Value Analysis (VA) process. The Manager, Value Analysis will be tasked with assessing product function and cost across the Clinical Spend landscape utilizing cost, quality, and patient outcome data to identify opportunities, while maintaining or improving C quality and outcomes.


Key Responsibilities


Responsibility #1 – 100%

  • Identify key stakeholders and establish ongoing relationships to achieve highest level of engagement.
  • Interface regularly with C-suite.
  • Create multidisciplinary Value Analysis teams based on input from key stakeholders.
  • Educate, direct, manage, and orient Value Analysis analyst, project manager, or coordinator
  • Educate and orient client Value Analysis Team members regarding processes and their role on teams.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary Value Analysis Team Chairs, Champions, and Team members.
  • Conduct Value Analysis Committee Chairperson preparation and ongoing follow-up.
  • Facilitate consensus among clinical stakeholders, determine and resolve barriers, and complete clinical product cross matches.
  • Review clinical spend landscapes, Spend Advisor, enterprise resource planning (ERP) reports and new item reports to identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with our Premier colleagues to provide One Premier solutions based on Member’s needs.
  • Review new product or product change requests, coordinate trials and evaluations.
  • Identify utilization and waste reduction opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Buyers and Analysts in support of the Value Analysis function.
  • Strategize and negotiate with Vendors.
  • Develop meeting agendas, create data presentations, develop, and manage project plans.
  • Communicate Value Analysis activities, results, and decisions throughout the enterprise

Work Experience:

Years of Applicable Experience - 5 or more years

Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)


 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

  • 3+years combined clinical experience in a procedural or critical care hospital setting,

  • Direct Value Analysis experience.

  • Experience in analyzing healthcare processes toward improving patient outcomes.

  • Experience analyzing data, utilizing excel.

  • Experience creating PPT presentations

Education:

  • Bachelors

Required Certifications/Licensing

CVAHP, preferred or attained within 2 years of hire

Travel Requirements: Travel 21-40% within the US

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $90,000 - $150,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
