Full Job Description
Job Summary

Provide proactive consultation to cement and admixture customers in the areas of product performance, mix optimizations, best practices, technical information research, troubleshooting, and technical training

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform as liaison between sales and production on plant quality teams
  • Proactively participate in promotion efforts relating to cement and admixture products
  • Proactive involvement in technical organizations such as the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) as well as various ready-mix concrete organizations with emphasis at the local or regional level.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager, Technical Services Engineer or Certified Concrete Technologist in the building materials industries (cement, concrete, admixtures, concrete, or masonry construction)


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Technical knowledge of building materials
  • Technical aspects of customer's products, systems, and applications
  • Cement products application technology
  • Admixture products application technology
  • Industry standards and codes
  • Interpersonal skills including conflict resolution
  • Project management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Computer skills: Word, Power Point, Excel

  • Capable of working in an open concept office environment


Physical Requirements

  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and fingering to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
