Manager, Technical Product Marketing- Capital One Software (Remote)
This experienced security product marketer will bring a strategic approach to messaging, positioning, competitive intelligence, customer insight, and go-to-market execution for our cloud-based data security solutions. They will leverage their expertise in product marketing to drive customer engagement, adoption, and retention while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
The product marketing charter is to make our data security solutions successful in the market and with customers. They define and execute GTM strategies focused on product activation, customer success, and long-term value realization. They are experts in our customers and products, leveraging their insights to shape marketing strategies and support the sales team with compelling content.
What you'll do- Be the subject matter expert on key data security product areas, understanding both technical and business implications.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Brand Marketing, Sales and Business Development to align on vision, strategic priorities, roadmap, use cases, market segmentation and success metrics.
- Drive competitive intelligence - conduct in-depth research on competitors, monitor industry and market trends, and make informed recommendations on positioning, and pricing
- Develop and maintain competitive intelligence assets including battlecards, competitor profiles, SWOT analyses, and win/loss insights
- Support Analyst Relations Strategy - Prepare briefings, respond to inquiries, and help shape market perception and narratives with key market analysts in collaboration with the Comms team.
- Contribute to Go-To-Market plans and product releases, managing cross-functional execution.
- Analyze data from product usage, campaigns, content engagement and market insights to optimize performance and ROI metrics
- Craft compelling product messaging frameworks to inform content development that engages a variety of personas across the customer experience journey
- Produce high-quality long and short form content, including: videos, blogs, thought leadership, case studies, customer PPTs, demos and website content, among others.
- Lead Customer Advocacy efforts - build and drive community engagement through forums, meet-ups, events, and relevant platforms
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to support enablement efforts and improve customer engagement.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5 years of product marketing experience in the B2B security, cloud, or SaaS industry.
- At least 5 years of experience executing GTM strategies and launching enterprise products.
Preferred Qualifications- 8+ years of experience marketing cybersecurity products like data protection, identity and access management (IAM), or cloud security solutions.
- Strong understanding of the competitive landscape within the data security market, including key players, their strengths and weaknesses, and emerging trends.
- 8+ years of experience identifying customer pain points and developing product positioning that addresses their security needs.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Remote (Regardless of Location): $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Marketing
Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Marketing
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
