Overview

Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) is seeking a Manager, Tank Farms  E&I / Mechanical Maintenance to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.

This Manager manages maintenance activities and personnel for the Tank Farms Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I)/Mechanical Maintenance team, ensuring safety and excellence in facility operations and minimizing facility equipment down time

 

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for encouraging and providing education on a nuclear safety culture where all workers understand and are comfortable in raising safety concerns, issues or time outs.
  • Establishes and monitors objectives, schedules and actions for maintenance work relative to corrective, preventive, modification, addition, and troubleshooting activities.  Provides direction, interpretation and input to technical issues.  Resolves issues, removes constraints and obstacles.
  • Ensures maintenance programs follow all company and site policies and procedures, and external regulatory body requirements to safely perform work and meet conduct of operations standards.
  • Ensures personnel are knowledgeable and understand procedures and other pertinent information and provides work direction to ensure work is performed safely, properly and efficiently.  Provides ongoing training and education on procedure, plant, regulatory and industry changes affecting the organization and the way in which work is performed.
  • Reviews and approves procedures, work and design packages, troubleshooting and test plans.
  • Performs frequent, scheduled and non-scheduled tours of work areas both on and off shift to observe conditions and communicate performance standards.
  • Monitors backlogs for appropriate prioritization and alignment to company objectives.
  • Interfaces with facility personnel and management (e.g. operations, radiological control, engineering) to ensure task completion while maintaining high level safety standards. 
  • Contributes to maintenance planning and budgeting activities to ensure sufficient level of resources.  Adheres to department budget.
  • Analyzes unplanned, recurring, and persistent maintenance problems, incidents and/or outages impacting reliable operations.  Develops recommended solutions.
  • Evaluates department policies and procedures and makes recommended changes.
  • Identifies training needs, reviews training curriculum and critically assesses the overall effectiveness of training programs by monitoring field activities.
  • Performs administrative functions including development, coaching and mentoring of personnel
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with field experience in maintenance, engineering, operations, or work planning; or
  • Associates degree with field experience in maintenance, engineering, operations, or work planning; or
  • High School Diploma or GED with field experience in maintenance, engineering, operations, or work planning
