Full Job Description
Position Purpose:

The Manager, Talent Strategy will own the end-to-end strategy for attracting and engaging niche talent at The Home Depot, ensuring our approach is aligned to critical business needs and built for scale. This role will be responsible for developing strategy from insight to execution, leveraging data, market intelligence, and emerging technology to drive measurable outcomes and inform leadership decision-making.

Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously; think critically, translate data into a clear story; and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Talent Acquisition, HR, business leaders, and external partners. The Manager will balance near-term execution with longer-term workforce and talent planning needs.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in strategic planning, data driven decision making, and project management, with a forward-looking mindset toward AI, automation, and new ways of working. This role is designed for a leader who can build and evolve a best in class talent attraction strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 34% Analyze factors that affect work-life choice, and data around the labor market and competitive landscape for the purpose of developing data-driven strategies to attract top talent that matches the skills needed for our hard-to-fill corporate roles and will thrive in The Home Depot's culture
  • 33% Lead the candidate and talent engagement strategy for hard-to-fill roles within our corporate functions
  • 33% Develop targeted campaigns under The Home Depot brand that enhance the effectiveness of our hard-to-fill recruitment strategies, in partnership with functional leaders, Talent Acquisition and HR leaders, Corporate Communications, and other internal groups


Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
  • This position reports to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition.
  • This position has 0 direct reports.


Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel up to 20% of the time.


Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience owning and developing strategy end to end
  • Strong ability to think critically and tell a clear story with data, including translating insights into recommendations that inform decisions and influence leaders
  • Background in talent attraction strategy, workforce planning, marketing, or a related field supporting a complex organization
  • Demonstrated experience using data, analytics, and ROI measurement to guide strategy, investment decisions, and prioritization
  • Strong project management capabilities and experience managing deadline-driven initiatives with multiple stakeholders
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and evolving work based on new data, shifting priorities, or business needs
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing without direct authority
  • AI-forward mindset, with demonstrated curiosity or hands-on experience applying AI, automation, or emerging tools to improve efficiency, insight, or outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentations and updates
  • Strong presentation skills, with experience building and delivering content to senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing external vendors and internal partners as part of broader strategic initiatives
  • High attention to detail, strong follow-through, and a track record of delivering high-quality results
  • Relentless focus on collaboration, customer service, and building solutions that serve the broader organization
