The Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading the Corporate Talent Acquisition team by mentoring and developing teammates while implementing recruitment best practices that support our TA and DE&I corporate strategies.
Here's where you'll be focusing- Lead the Corporate TA team to deliver best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experiences from entry-level to executive roles
- Create and maintain a culture focused on coaching and development
- Allocate requisitions, oversee team follow-up and maintain accurate recruitment records to support with reporting and performance metrics
- Build strong relationships with all stakeholders to establish trust and credibility in the delivery of a value-add service; leverage data to keep stakeholders informed and up-to-date on recruitment activities
- Assume ownership of the total candidate experience, ensuring all company touch points provide a positive experience
- Identify and bring forth new methods/ideas for sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles
- Partner with Recruitment Marketing to support with identified needs, monitoring success and ROI
- Own recruitment projects, initiatives, and programs
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance effectiveness and service levels to clients
- Develop Hiring Manager knowledge through the interview process inclusive of coaching on interview/selection techniques and conducting interviews
- Manage background check and reference check processes as required
What you bring to the table- Undergraduate degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR or Talent Acquisition Lead capacity
- Minimum of 7 years of end-to-end recruitment experience; 3 of which have been spent in corporate recruitment
- Extensive experience in the recruiting lifecycle inclusive of directing relationships with Hiring Managers, Candidates and owning vendor relationships
- Experience in the development and delivery of processes, tools and programs
- Experience delivering multi-channel talent pipelines while leveraging social networks and other emerging methods
- Bilingualism is required as the candidate will be expected to work with peers in other provinces in the development and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada
- Experience in retail is considered an asset
